DIES DIFERENTS is a narrative through new musics, traditional sounds, popular tunes, several tracks inspired in Catalan poets, some oldies and a handful of new songs. This time, Mariona has worked hand in hand with top-notch musicians and close friends Carme Canela, Sílvia Guillem, Abdeljalil Kodssi, Javier Mas, Francesc Capella, Àngel Pereira, Joan Saura, Wesak, Marc Serra, Roger Blavia, Manel Vega, Vicenç Solsona and Liba Vilavecchia.
Mariona achieves complicity among different styles, a myriad tones and colours, recreating and combining them in an exquisitely personal performance

"A singer that has intertwined the most diverse experiences in miraculous harmorny with the help of her unique personality. Behold a well rounded-off, suggestive work—an open window to let some fresh air in."

"Through her new album Mariona Sagarra confirms the state of grace of this fruitful, shimmering moment in her career.”

“Mariona Sagarra has had the insight to follow her inklings and has managed to tear down the boundaries of singing and expand as much as possible its range of action. Seldom has the junction between tradition and experimentation matched so felicitiously.”

Review for the album premiere in Espai

“Artistic rigor is the norm with this singer and her excellent legacy (...). Dies Diferents is a valuable, commercially risky work, a mirror of emotions living beyond time. Brilliant contributions and presentation.”
Clave Musical. March 2004
“Dies Diferents is indeed a splendid collection of songs, whereby the singer’s voice continues to be her intangible heritage, even though the music moves in total freedom.”
Esteban Linés. La Vanguardia. March 6, 2004
“Mariona Sagarra is bold enough to dabble in new technologies by fusing together tradition and vanguardism.”
Aleix Perdigó. Avui. Feb 17, 2004
“Sagarra is aware that her voice is her most precious asset, but she has transcended this plane. She has taken great pains in achieving excellent pieces. A surprising work.”
